Lance UrbasLance Urbas
CEO & President, IntelliReach

As an industry veteran, Lance brings a wealth of expertise in guiding software companies to success. Prior to IntelliReach, Lance was most recently President and CEO of Authentica, Inc., a leading provider of solutions for enterprise digital rights management. Before Authentica, Lance served as General Manager of Axent Technologies’ Network Security Business Unit after Raptor’s merger with Axent. At Raptor, Lance served in several executive capacities including Senior Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Product Marketing. Before joining Raptor, Lance was the Eastern Area Director of Sales for Veritas, starting as Veritas’ first sales person on the east coast. Prior to Veritas, Lance held various management positions in engineering, sales and marketing for Convex, Tandem, and Data General.

Peter BellPeter Bell

Peter Bell is Managing Director and founder of Stowe Capital, which specializes in providing capital and management expertise to emerging growth companies. Mr. Bell is the Distinguished Senior Executive in Residence at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College where he teaches the course, “Perspectives on Management.” Prior to establishing Stowe Capital, Mr. Bell was the co-founder and chairman of StorageNetworks, Inc., a Waltham, Massachusetts-based information storage software and services company. A veteran of the information technology industry, Mr. Bell began his career at EMC Corporation in 1986, when the company had less than 100 employees. During his tenure at EMC, he held positions in marketing, operations and sales. In 1996, Mr. Bell became Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NetXchange Communications, Inc., a pioneer in the field of internet telephony software. In 1997, Mr. Bell joined Andataco, a provider of information storage products and services, where he led the company’s worldwide sales organization. He earned a BS, summa cum laude in accounting from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management in 1986 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1993. Mr. Bell also holds an Honorary Doctorate from Babson College.

John P. WardJohn P. Ward

Mr. Ward graduated with a BA from Middlebury College in 1987 and received an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1996. Prior to joining M/C Venture Partners in early 2000, he was a Vice President at BancBoston Ventures where he had been focused on early stage venture capital investing in information technology, communications, and healthcare companies since 1996. Previously, Mr. Ward held operating roles at Fidelity Investments in sales and marketing, and spent five years as an officer with United States Naval Intelligence. At M/C Venture Partners, he is focused on communications-related information technology and infrastructure software and services investments. His Board level responsibilities include Fusepoint Managed Services, Artisoft, IntelliReach, and Hyperformix. He has also been a Board Director of Attenda Limited and NewSouth (now Nuvox) Communications.

Matthew J. RubinsMatthew J. Rubins

Matt Rubins is a General Partner at M/C Venture Partners, where he has worked on a variety of investments in the broadband wireless, enterprise infrastructure, competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC), ISP, telecom software and IT services industries. Mr. Rubins has served on the board of directors of ten portfolio companies and currently is a Director of Hyperformix, Viola Networks, SecureMedia and Vertical Communications. He was an Assistant Vice President at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Technology Group in the telecommunications and data networking areas. Graduating from Cornell University with a BS in applied and engineering physics, Mr. Rubins received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was a financial analyst and then Associate in the media and telecommunications groups at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, both prior to and after business school.

Andrin BachmannAndrin Bachmann

Mr. Bachmann, a Swiss national, is a Partner at M/C Venture Partners, where he focuses on investments in Europe. Before joining M/C, he co-founded Glocalnet in Stockholm, Sweden. Glocalnet, listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, is now the third largest provider of telecommunications services to Swedish consumers. Subsequently, Mr. Bachmann was involved in a number of early-stage IT and software companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Attenda Limited. Mr. Bachmann holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).
