IntelliReach Announces Enhanced Version of MessageScreen

Version 5.1 Provides Customized Notification Management

IntelliReach Corporation, the email lifecycle management company, today announced the release of MessageScreen 5.1, a high-performance filtering appliance that blocks unwanted email. The new release provides improvements and enhancements for both Mail Administrators and end-users.

MessageScreen 5.1 provides Mail Administrators with additional flexibility and control by allowing them to write and display customized text in the user quarantine and in message notifications. With customized Message Notification Management, Administrators now have the ability to customize the text in five “message notification” emails:

  • Quarantined attachment
  • Parked attachment
  • Deleted attachment
  • Deleted attachment due to virus detection
  • Quarantined attachment due to virus scanning error

Additionally, Administrators can customize the text that displays on User Quarantine Pages. Many Administrators will use this feature to guide users with questions or problems to contact their internal IT Help Desk.

With MessageScreen 5.1, users will see some user interface improvements when they access their quarantines. These improvements include the addition of a warning pop-up window when the delete function is selected and some additional options for the Trusted and Blocked Senders Pages.

These new features are the latest enhancements to MessageScreen, the technology-leading, third-generation anti-spam/anti-virus solution. MessageScreen features a unique spam- and virus-fighting technology called Real-time Pattern Analysis (RPA). Most spam filters today simply analyze the header and contents of individual email messages, a first-generation approach which can be circumvented by sophisticated spammers. RPA technology supplements that sort of lexical analysis by detecting patterns in spam attacks.

RPA is just one layer in IntelliReach’s multi-layer approach to fighting spam, viruses and explicit content. IntelliReach’s filtering solution provides 12 layers of threat detection, including all first and second generation technology, plus advanced image analysis and anti-phishing protection.

“Deploying MessageScreen has helped our users enjoy an increased sense of security and freedom from intrusive content while conducting their daily collaborative tasks,” said Mark Nielsen, Senior Network Engineer at ADVO, Inc. “The elimination of questionable and unnecessary content with very little administration translates to lower TCO and increased productivity. With a rate of 0.00004% false positives and very few spam messages actually making it to the mailbox, MessageScreen has proven to be the right solution for our needs.”
