Network Engines and IntelliReach Corporation Partner to Deliver Powerful Email Management Appliance Solution
Network Engines to develop, manufacture and distribute IntelliReach MessageScreen™ appliance to value-added resellers and integration partners
Network Engines, Inc., (Nasdaq:NENG), a leading development, manufacturing and distribution partner for storage and security software vendors and network equipment providers, and IntelliReach Corporation, a leader in integrated compliance, security and management solutions for corporate messaging environments, today announced a partnership to manufacture and distribute the IntelliReach MessageScreen appliance. The MessageScreen appliance is an advanced anti-spam, image scanning, anti-virus and content filtering solution for small-to-medium enterprises with 5,000 mailboxes or less.
“After researching the market, we determined that Network Engines has the manufacturing and development expertise for security and storage server appliance solutions that will allow MessageScreen to offer the highest level of performance integrity,” said Derek Schoettle, vice president of corporate development for IntelliReach. “In addition, working with TidalWire, the Network Engines distribution operation, gives us the opportunity to reach the channel reseller market, a capability other partners did not have.”
Since its introduction in 2002, MessageScreen has been adopted by thousands of IT managers to become the leading anti-spam solution for all major messaging platforms, including Microsoft Exchange and Novell GroupWise. Using multi-tiered filtering in addition to advanced lexical scanning and heuristic scoring to analyze every email, MessageScreen identifies existing and emerging spam techniques. MessageScreen also adds advanced scanning analysis for HTML referenced images, which are found in over 95 percent of explicit messages, keeping such content out of the organization.
As a gateway-level solution, the MessageScreen appliance stops spam, viruses and explicit content before it can enter the network and cause damage by consuming bandwidth and disk space. Analysis has shown that in real-world corporate environments, MessageScreen effectively stops spam, yielding zero false positives.
“The addition of the MessageScreen appliance to our security line card gives our customers a great solution for addressing one of the most disruptive threats to any organization, the infiltration of networks by unwanted email,” said Mike Riley, vice president of marketing and strategy for Network Engines. “Our appliance model is the ideal way to deploy the MessageScreen solution in organizations where IT resources may be limited.”
“IntelliReach's technology, focus and experience position the company to handle the key messaging management needs of any organization,” said Michael Osterman, chief researcher for messaging industry analyst Osterman Research. “For an organization that needs to feel secure about choosing products that protect its network, the IntelliReach/Network Engines partnership makes the decision a lot simpler.”
TidalWire, the Network Engines distribution operation, will distribute the appliance to value-added resellers and integration partners.
